Acceptable Range Restrictions for International F-Class World Championships?

Laurie said:
I personally dont want to see something as prestigious as the Worlds deteriorate into something less because of range restrictions destroying the diversity of what an OPEN class provides.

Ian,
I imagine 99.9% of F-Open shooters would agree. Most competitors are very happy with the present rules package and whenever somebody arrives wanting to change things - like imposing a <156gn bullet weight limit on 308 Win in FTR - they get little or no support.

Thanks for your support Laurie!
Thats why we need to have acceptable range limits/restrictions in place that allow our sport to be uniform across host countries. F-Open and to a lesser extent F T/R is all about allowing shooters choices. I think the diversity of calibers and projectiles make F-Open a unique sport and one worth protecting!

I will mention the fact that national Queens is now only a local shoot not an equable shoot for all brought about by local rules. Fix the local rules to be apart of the international sport. The international regulator ( ICFRA ) can not over rule the local enforcer. ICFRA guidelines to range templates will be ignored by local enforcers. The sad fact is some people will never be able to play in the international scene at all ever others only partially.
