A fun picture ya might like.

Wow you did good!! I've never been able to get a photo where everything is in the viewfinder correctly. Usually the image from my scope has a partial eclipse from me not being perfectly square behind the camera.

Send us an after you pulled the trigger through the scope photo too.

Say that reminds me. I need to put a tripod in the back of my truck also. Can you send a picture of your shooting platform?

Yea I fiddled around for awhile to get that and you know of course when time to take the
rifle shot the little bugger decided not to pose anymore...LOL:rolleyes: I'll try to get a picture of
my shooting trailer soon...:cool::)

Forgive me for being a city boy. What is a squeek or squeak?

Boyd's probably correct. In E. Oregon, NE. California and E. Washington, we have mostly Beldings Ground Squirrels, but also Richardson and Columbia. Locals call them squeeks because of the alarm call they emit when bounced or are scolding intruders. Also called sage rats, picket pins or just plain rats. They're all about 1/3 the size of an adult prairie dog, and three times harder to hit!

The first time I ever went to SD for PD's, after 35 years of shooting ground squirrels, it was like shooting house cats in comparison. :D

Pacificman: Great shot! I've only been able to do that about 1/10th of the time I attempt it.

In and around Minot AFB they're affectionately known as Dak Rats. To a Kentucky alfalfa field groundhog hunter I thought I was in varmint shooter heaven.

Looks like I spelled squeeks wrong in the first place!...Guess I should just call them rats...less letters that way...
Yep like I said it took a long time fiddling with the scope and phone camera to get that shot...I was almost as happy
getting that shot as I am shooting with the rifle...:p It's all fun!!! :D

I was gonna post that this is some "Hollywood" stuff right there.......but then realized that those people are all left wing, communist, liberal democrats and I don't mean to insult anyone!!! Great photo!!! Now I have to go try and see if I can do that.....it looks like you are on top of about an 8 foot tall ladder in the back of your truck bed.

cool pic..........

destructive little guys for sure......

the added elevation from a trailer or truck bed makes a big difference for visability...

I cannot lie. -- That pic is one that I took with my camera on pretty high magnification. Then my wife, who is a Photoshop magician, added the effect of crosshairs.

I've got more pics of squeaks that are so damned cute that it will almost break you of shooting them. -- Wellllll almost. jd

Good Lord ! Live and learn. This morning I learned there is more than one type of squirrel, being a city boy and all.

OK.........photoshop is considered cheating and don't count....sorry jd. Cool picture though.

msinc....I was 10 feet up on my shooting trailer when I took that picture. I had been out most of the day
shooting rats when I decided to try a different kind of shot....(with phone). well I got the phone shot then
of course I went back to the real thing man....Love shooting my rifle more than playing with my phone!:D

I call them "Skippy", and when well centered with a 35gr @ 3800 fps+ 22-250 round, they "POP" and their heads "POP" off and fly thru the air, also called "POP GUTS" around here. LOL.

Tia,
Don
