Yeah, in 2017 I loaded up the kids and made a trip to Missouri for the solar eclipse. Absolutely amazing and dang near life changing. I highly suggest getting to the one in 2024.
I also noticed the conjunction of Jupiter and the moon last weekend. I captured this image with the phone through my Nikon spotting scope on 60x.

Nice viewing the "Heavenly Bodies".Back in my college days, a guy had a telescope trained on the girls dorm. THAT was fun!
