8208xbr in 223?

What kids of results are folks finding using IMR 8208 XBR in the 223 rem?

in particular with the 50 to 55 grain bullets.

Thanks!!

great powder for my .223 ar les baer custom. i tried a lot of powder and bullets and have settled on 52 fowlers and 26 gr 8208 jumping bullets about .020 thous. of course, start a bit lower and work up slowly. i get about 3300 fps and very good groups. 8208 is also my favorite for my .223 ackley bolt gun.

thanks.

I been working on loads for my 223 bolt gun and 223 ackley bolt gun and have some 8208 to try.

I have been using benchmark with nice results.

I do enjoy trying different components to see what I can achieve

Bill, I tried 22.6 grs of XBR in Lapua cases with 68 Hornady's
23 grns of XBR with 69 smk's. Both shot incredibly accurate.
CCI 450m's

Both shot 1/4.
BLC-2 also shot great. Didn't have the same with H4895, 4064...

8208 is the way to go in my Remy.

I shoot highpower with a rock river national match AR 8 twist. I recently tried a load of moly coated Berger 52 grain flatbase bullets in Lake City cases in front of 24.7 grains of 8208 lit by wolf primers and immediately set a personal best score in a practice session of slow fire prone at 100 yards on the MR-31 target (600 yard target reduced for 100 yard) of 199-10x. I've shot this load in two matches and along with the one practice session have seen my X count go way up with the 8208.

My RL15 jug is starting to gather dust.
