so is imr 8208 better for heavy grain or light grain bullets in a 223 rem ? i have a 1 in 7 twist 24 inch barrel

8208 in a 12 twist and 52 gr. bullets work better than anything I've found for my .223 XR-100. Don't know about a fast twist and heavy bullets.

Nothing better for 50-grain Varmint Grenades or Hornady 50-grain V-Maxes in rifles I, and my buddies shoot.

Been pushing my 80vld with it at 2925fps and the grouping is 1/4 moa.
Can you give me a starting point that you used? I just got my new .223 bolt rifle and I will be shooting mostly 80 grain bullets. In my space gun I was using 23.2 grains with a 77 Sierra.

Use the same load, maybe even a little more for the 80's. You will be seating the 80gr further out reducing pressure compared to the 75/77 grain bullets.

Also, watch out for zombies....
