7mmWSM barrell specs???

Only .308 Winchester and .223 Remington chambers are allowed in the F/TR class. A 7mm WSM would have to compete in F-Class Open. Before you spend money on an F-Class rifle please read and understand the NRA HP rule book, Section 22. Either way you go, you’ll enjoy the heck out of F-Class.

Are you still going to build your 7WSM? I'd spec it this way for a pure F-Class barrel:
Long throated to at least 3.00" with the 175 smk or 180 Berger 180s;
30" finished length,my research shows little gain in velocity combined with a reduction in pressure beyond 30");
9 twist,will stabilize the heavy high BC 7mm pills: 175 smk, Berger 180) even if you load down to 2,800 fps at low altitude);
Contour I think is sort of up to you. Lighter or fluted if you need to make weight, heavier if weight is not an issue,I like a MTU as the minimum and the 1,000 yard contour for the optimum, but she is a heavier sucker)
