7mm08 loads

I personally dont like the lead sled as I am accustomed to shooting a certain way that uses 2 bags and a somewhat sniper grip at the butt stock when target shooting/sight in process. scope is good to go and doesnt have a parallax adjustment range to target is right at 50 yards I am going to do up a few tomorrow and start over at 40.5 41 and 41.5 and see if that works and work from there

I have an Axis about that same age. The stocks were horrible. Yes, they were free floated, but, any pressure at all on the fore end and it will touch the barrel and mess up your groups. The best thing I did was get a Boyd's stock for it (freefloated, pillars and bedded).

With the current stock I suspect the best way to shoot it would be 'loose' over front and rear bags. Even pulling the stock back into the shoulder could put enough pressure on the fore end to touch the barrel. They were 'soft' stocks. I don't know what a lead sled would do. I've never liked those things.

Quite a few people made them work by filling the front of the stock with stuff like bedding compound. Some would grind out a groove and put a steel rod/tube in the stock with bedding compound/rockite/JBWeld. Just about everything was tried to make the fore end not flex.

It's sierras product number no fps

based on your picture, you have the older stock. I bet you are touching near the front. Try the dollar or card stock trick we posted.
My late '70's Weatherby Vanguard in 30-06 had a plastic button in the stock near the end of the forearm (about the same location as the swivel post, but on the barrel side) that intentionally put pressure on the barrel! First thing I did after the first range trip with factory ammo and had crap groups was grind out the plastic button and sand out the rest of the barrel channel to the lug so that a playing card would slide all the way up. Factory ammo suddenly was 1 to 1-1/2 moa with a 12 yr old behind the trigger (me, back then). I was able to get hand loads to 3/8 moa with not too much trouble.
Luckily there were some old bench resters that walked me through everything - there was no internet back then.
