Tad more case capacity with the 6 Creedmoor but not much. Hornady brass for the Creedmoor and Norma brass for the 6XC. Doubt you will see any difference in barrel life between the 2.
Thanks
Much better brass available for the XC.
Paul
What about case preping, trimming, donuts... for the xc?
Both have norma brass available. Just run 6.5 creedmore through a neck sizing die and you should have it. And you'll probably have to dress the necks up a bit after that. 22 dasher is correct, your reloading and shooting will determine barrel life. I have over 1800 Rounds through 6xc barrels and they are still competitive and no firecracking at all.
FWIW, In my experience the extra work and expense to make a 6 Creedmore over a 6xc isn't worth the effort. Go with the 6xc and don't over think your choice.WD

Do the XC cases have alot of case growth between firings? I have ran 22-250 and am running the 6 Dasher now, with the 22-250 after about 5 firings I started to see growth for trimming for the 22-250. I really like the Dasher and not have to trim that much. I have about 10 firings and have trimmed once to clean up and get back to length.
I know that these are to different rounds just looking for a comparative case that I have used in the past, and to what i'm getting into. More time in the field and less time reloading is the goal for me. I'm not lazy just looking for ways around to making life easier.
I would expect to see about what you're currently seeing on your 22-250. As far as your question in the previous post, to me that 31" seems like a lot and may affect what powder will work best.... depending too upon what twist rate you decide upon.
Pay the money for a VERY good gunsmith, put the best quality glass you can possibly afford, great trigger, be patient and you'll be fine with the 6xc. JME. WD
I have a 30" Krieger 1:7.5 twist and shoot Hbn coated DTAC 115s at 3000fps easily with 39.5 - 40.0g H4350. Most people get around 2500 - 3000 rounds before swapping out barrels. Shoots lights out at 1000yds.
