6GT — New Cartridge, Alpha Brass

Looks like a cool design. I've drank the koolaid for some silly named cartridges that shoot great! 6BRA, 6 Dasher, VarTarg. I have
to draw a line in the sand. I just can't bring myself to shoot the "GayTiger"
Not that there's anything wrong with it.
And no offense intended. I'm sure I'll get my ass kicked by one at a match.

So do you trim 6.5x47 brass short and then run it through a 6GT FL die?

35degree shoulder? ~36gns of powder? 105 at 3200fps?

Feeds better than a dasher, less powder than a creedmoor, less finicky than a 6x47?

EDIT: I'm very interested in this. Seems like a great idea for PRS folks and anyone who wants to feed from a magazine. BR guys are probably going to find that it is too much powder for top flight accuracy.

Looks like Alpha might be making brass for it, available later this year. If that happens, and I can get a RPR barrel chambered for it; I'll spin one on to replace my 6.5 creedmoor!

This is a cartridge I'm actually keen to try, I like the design, just hope Alpha don't have any problems getting brass to Australia.

I have shot a case very close to this one, 6mm 3D Dave Dorris, If you are using the 47 lapua case check the volume it is still real close to the Dasher, but it will send a 105 bullet down range at 3180 with 35 grains of RL15, the shoulder on his case is about .090 longer than the dasher and the neck is .300 long, I think this 6GT will be a great case.

My case is 40 degrees rather than 35 degrees have won with it I called it a 6x47 .100 thousands short didn't have to buy any special dies made use of what I had a good idea though.I have shot this case for the last 7 or 8 years.

Forgive my ignorance on this as I've never tried it before, but if this case has been formed off a 6.5x47 parent case, what would be the best way to form a 6GT case out of it? Would you simply start trimming the parent case down to required length, and run it through a FLS die and then fireform to blow out the 35 degree shoulder or is there more to it than that?

Probably the end all coyote cartridge with a short freebore. I will order a reamer as soon as they let me.
