woolenmammoth,
You are right, It is hard to beat the 6br at that range. I would also like to hear from someone that has shot all three. 6br, 6Dasher, 6x47L
I have shot all 3 cartridges at 1K yards. I don't own the 6x47L, but shot one that belongs to a fellow shooter at Williamsport. In guns that weigh the same (17lbs), the 6x47L has considerable recoil compared to the 6BR, and its recoil is noticeably heavier than the Dasher. I've only shot the 6x47L at 1K... never shot it at any other distance. At 1K, all 3 are very capable rounds, but the 6BR loses out to the Dahser and 6x47L with a even a slight wind change. If you call the wind correctly, the 6BR can beat the Dasher and 6x47L... I've done it, and have seen others do it.
I own two 6BR's and a Dasher. One of my BR's is a 1K Bench gun, and the other is ground hog gun. My Dasher is a ground hog gun as well. I'll leave the bench gun out of the discussion, because I shoot it from a front and rear rest. Now, the Dasher vs the 6BR (ground hog gun) - I shoot both off a bipod. Both are very accurate, but the 6BR out-shoots the dasher almost every range trip. However, I've seen Dashers out-shoot a 6BR many times. At 100yds, both of them have shot groups in 1's when I do my part. Groups in 2's happen all of the time, and it's rare that shoot a group over .5" (this is with a bipod, and a rear bag... I'm not that good off a bipod alone!) I think the primary accuracy variable between cartridges is the barrel. If you get a good 6mm 8-twist barrel, either cartridge will surprise you with accuracy capabilities, at all ranges.
If you like playing around with stuff - go with a dasher, because you have to fire-form. If you want to load-and-shoot, go with the 6BR. If you want 7-10gr more capacity to get the heavy 6mm bullets moving a little quicker, go with the 6x47L. If you want to go with the round that's the cheapest to load, go with the 6BR.
Hopefully this info can help you make a decision!
