6BR vs 6 Dasher ?

Quick question guys !

Using a generic 2850 for 6BR and 3050 for dasher , my calculations show less than 1” less deflection in a 5 mph crosswind at 500 yards ! So to me there isn’t much advantage at all going to the dasher , Or don’t i know what I’m talking about ????

If go with the Dasher (or BRX). Go back and look at your scores. I’ll bet there is a 9 that’s real close to the line. If you had that extra 150 or so FPS it would have a scratch 10. Also the extra FPS is a big benefit if you go long range like 8, 9, and 1K

I belong to a small club that’s only 500 yards . Shot 1 match ( don’t think I’m a match guy ) came in 4th out of 18 , but not sure if I’m going to shoot anymore matches. Just like shooting and seeing how small a group I can get . So I’ll probably stick with my 6BRs.

I wish they had a build your own rifle match . It’s hard to compete against full blown customs . I really don’t want a custom because I get a lot of satisfaction shooting a rifle that I built myself .

When the difference between first and 20th is about .2” in a big match it all matters.

F Class or Benchrest? Very different games. For F Class where your shooting long strings in changing conditions is where you’ll see more of the advantage. But at 500 the difference between the two is certainly closer than farther out.
