6.5's Show Them and give particulars

Started out as Savage 30-06 111 DBM Tupperware stock.
Now is a 6.5 Creedmoor, 26" Xcaliber Heavy Palma Barrel, Boyds Stock I installed pillars and bedded, ET4305 Bushnel 4.5-30x50 Scope, Burris Rings with 20 MOA Mounts from Zero I have 72" of adjustment up. Harris Bipod, JP Muzzle Brake, SAV-1 Basix Trigger set to 1.5 lbs., I ground down, threaded and blued the original bolt handle and added a tactical knob, made a cheek rest out of Plexi Glass and made an extended Butt plate from Alum. and added a Limb-Saver 1" recoil pad to get the LOP to what I needed.

Shane nice work and nice shooting!

In my Lapua cases 48 grs of RL 26 is really compressed - well into the neck - I don't have a drop tube is that what you are using to get the RL 26 into the case?

Great! Thanks! Have you found using OBT in Quickload helpful? If so, if I give you the case capacity of twice fired but unsized Lapua can you help me out with some OBT data for a 20" barrel?

XP100
6.5x284 brux 17"
McMillan BR stock

Group was fired at 100 yards. 20 shots.
130 berger, h4350, can't remember the velocity right off.

Get me all the info on your loads, case cap, COAL, primer, bullet and I can run the numbers.
The only problem I have with OBT is it assumes barrel resonance based off of barrel length it does not take into account barrel contour or caliber, I find it hard to believe these don't have an effect.

How much does this gem weigh? It's identical to what I would like to build in 6.5 or 7 Rsaum.

I don't have a scale. I love the rifle and if I did it again I would go with a number 2 profile. Hawk Hill runs heavy like Bartlien. The HH #3 is a heavy sporter, the flutes help a tad but not substantially. It's still very packable. The rifle is a ton of fun banging steel and did a number on Bull Elk with a 140VLD. I would guess the weight at a bit over 7lbs. If I get a chance I'll take it by a friends and get an actual weight. The Defiance ultra light is a beautiful action, smooth as silk. Feel free to PM me if you want.

I have a 7saum on a stiller. It's become my favorite big game round. Can't wrong with either Saum you mentioned!

Shoots small little groups at 100y. Did my first 600y f class match of the year on a relatively windy night and scored a 194-7x. Wind let off got the best of me. I have high hopes with this rifle and appears I will receive.

Here's the start of my first 6.5, a 260 Ackley in a r700 with a 26" CBI RemAge barrel and a Jewell trigger. Just picked up the 40x stock and got it cleaned up, now I've got a little inletting to do while saving for scope and reloading stuff.
