6.5 Grendel to ??????

Is the 220 Russian enough smaller than the 308 family that I could re-chamber a 6.5 Grendel to 260 or 6.5X47L or 6.5 BR?

Not sure about 6.5 br, but I would think you would be fine with the other two

I DK your intended rifle ? Just want to mention .....there's a difference in bolt face diam, comparing a
" PPC " bolt face to a " .308 ".

You should be able to rechamber to any of the car tides mentioned without cutting off part of the barrel tennon, but as was mentioned before, you will also have to have you bolt face opened up.

I have just the barrel and want to re-chamber to a 308 bolt face. Just wasn't sure the 6.5 Grendel was smaller so I could rechamber to a 260 or other 6.5 cartridge with a 308 bolt face.

Going off of memory the Grendel case length is about 1.5 inches and .441 inches in diameter so a Grendel chamber would be small enough that it would just be material removed from the barrel if chambering it to those cartridges.
