I can't help but to think what this round would be like in 30 or 32 inch bbl with those new Berger 105 hybrid bullets!

if they work in a 1:9 and i had some i could attempt to tell you once i get my barrel in a few weeks it will be a 30"

I would say that they should. Esp in the warmer weather, with the speeds that on could get.

If you want to shoot the 105+ grain bullets you need to get a 1/8 twist barrel.

how much different are the sierra match king and the berger? i would like to find something that will not blow up as easily as the berger, but fly as close to or better than the berger. any suggestions or answers?

the 95 grain berger is what i want to shoot, but when compairing the sierra match king i loose a lot of range, down range velocity, energy all that. is there something else i can use or try?

What model of inside reamer did you buy? This is off subject but were only 145 miles or so apart, we had 50+ mph winds today, did you have high winds and rain/snow?

I've never had to worry about that donut in all the years I've been shooting the 6x284.

where are you located?
we had it all only the snow was barely snow more like sleet

40 miles south of Lewiston Idaho in Washington on the Oregon/Idaho border, another words the very S.E tip of the state.

im pretty anxious for my 6-284 barrel to get here. i have been talking to don at presicion ballistics and he is going to be making 100 grain vld's this year and i am going to be able to test them out and see how they do. i should have them befor they can even be ordered. he told me to try to blow them up. i told him my situation where i have a 1:9 twist coming and i like shooting the 95 bergers, but i am worried about them blowing up if i am pushing them at the 3500fps area. i havent really seen many advantages between the 105's over the 95. i do think that the 100 grain will be a great medium though. i will have a little more mass for energy, but still be smaller where i can push it close to the 95 grain. so i am ready to get this gun going and see what i find out.

I talked to Don a few weeks ago, he was just settling in to his new place and wasn't setup yet to make bullets but was working on it, is he now churning out bullets? if so I need to give him another call, I hate just bugging him for no reason.

i should be getting my barrels soon looking like with in two weeks, i should get the action for the 6-284 this week and my viper pst should be shipping out today from vortex.

got my scope friday man is it a sweet looking scope. cant wait to mount this up and see how well it works
