243 Winchester/ 115 Gr Bullets

Yeah Black Hawk, I have heard good things aswell about Hart barrels. I do think I am set on the 7 twist, I may be taking a gamble with it according to some but I have a sneaky suspition that it will be a wise choice for the bullet choice I made, though, I am looking forward to trying some other makes other than Bergers. I'll find a dinger for sure, trial and error. Hope it dont take to much error.

Definately try the 115Dtac. Its so much easier to get it to shoot extremely well. personally Ive just never been able to the VLD Bergers to shoot consistantly.

Try a starting charge of 41.0gr of the re-22 and work up from there. The max load in the Sierre book for a 107MK is around 42.5gr. In my AI chamber I can burn 46.5gr.

Another load I have heard other people using with the 115 Dtac is 47.5gr Re-25. thats a max load for straight .243. I never got really good accuracy with the Re-25.

I built a standard .243 using a 27.75' heavy Palma contour barrel by Kreiger with 7.5 twist, it was chambered specifically for the 115g dtac, Rem 700 receiver sits in an AI stock and uses standard short action magazines, bullet seated out to magazine length works great, testing H4530 and Reloader 25,
velocity is +/- 20 fps of 2,980 fps with 41g. of H4530 and 45g RL-25. I am still dialing the rifle in but is now able to groups .5' at 200yds. with the RL-25 load, am planning to try
VV-165 and H1000, I am very please with how this rifle build is working out,

How do you go about polishing the throat? I was thing about having a .243 or a 6.5 x 47L built and I am trying to research and quirks about either.

44,
I have been shooting the 115 dtacs in my .243AI for about a year. 1/8 twist. They work fine. Really fine. Have settled on R25 and H1000. 3100 fps. The gun can shoot fantastic groups at 600,800,1000 if I can hold it on.
