Just looking for suggestions on a bipod for the big 338 Lapua, (112 Savage). Is the Harris stout enough or should I be looking at something a lot heaver duty? Thanks. HB
For field conditions, hunting etc. I use an Atlas.Just looking for suggestions on a bipod for the big 338 Lapua, (112 Savage). Is the Harris stout enough or should I be looking at something a lot heaver duty? Thanks. HB
Hmmm. Maybe the caliber was wrong. They would need to be 2" bullet holes for that to be a 10" circle.Im curious about the above picture here depicting 6 shots on a 10 inch circle at a thousand yards. If my calculations are correct, the 5 horizontal shots in conjunction with the bullet diameter of .300" only produces 1.50" of width within that 10 inch circle. Perhaps you meant 100 yards? If you're shooting continuous groups like that at 1000, I should have your autograph.
Look up video #59 on the main site. At 1:30 they talk about Harris bipods.Just looking for suggestions on a bipod for the big 338 Lapua, (112 Savage). Is the Harris stout enough or should I be looking at something a lot heaver duty? Thanks. HB
Try using a Harris off that same bench. You'll be surprised how well you shoot it.So much good information to digest now, thanks a lot guys. I wasn't sure, I've always shot off my Hart front rest on a bench. Starting to get interested in prone shooting and bipod on benches. Thanks HB
