Ryan, do you have any aspirations to make your muscle brake in Titanium for lightweight builds like the rifle above? That would definitely be a nice finishing touch on a lightweight build.

I could shave off probably 2.5 oz on the self timing 5 port if I went to titanium. That brake is already $160. Not sure if guys would want to pay much more for a brake. Ill look into it though. The manners eh1 builds are 7lb 10 oz without optics. Definitely a very packable setup and at a weight where its enjoyable and easy to shoot consistently. Spotting your hits off the bipod is a breeze at 400 yds with the scope at 25x and a 215 berger at 3200 fps. That's by far my most popular setup right now.

Want to keep an update for guys with Ryan's work.
This weekend went out on freshly planted field which is soft footing for bi pod. Also theres been so much rain meadows are soft with high grass so sighting hits to get on target are difficult . My largest ar 500 target is 16" which might be a littele challenging.Instead made up one 24x30 .
line of fire was 1310 yds away. wind was plus and minus 5* . kept switching left to right.
While shooting with 4 rds per clip I have been cooling a minute between shoots .
Have a look ,have been using ABM 215 to fire form Lapua brass.
Round count is 60.

Ill send ya a pm. I have all the parts instock and a delivery time of August right now. The rifle weighs 7lbs 10 oz without optics. The bdl setups hold two in the box and one in the chamber. Accurate mag has a 3 round mag now that sits even with the bottom of the trigger guard. Heres a pic of the 3 round mag

Titanium Self timing 5 ports in 3/4x24 threads will be available in a few weeks. I got a small run done up to test everything out. Machining is beautiful and the bore is VERY straight. Now for the big question. How much weight did it save? 3.2 oz over the steel version. Theyre gonna retail at $240. A 12 ft bar is 3xs as expensive as steel. New tools were required and speeds and feeds had to be slowed down which means it takes longer to make also. Its the best bang for your buck weight savings a guy will get on a rifle. $80 more than the steel brake for 3.2 oz, $25 per ounce. Compared to a titanium action that is $500 more than steel usually and only saves 7 oz or so, $71 per ounce.

Very nice :) I know 3.2 oz weight savings probably doesnt sound like much to a lot of folks, but for high country mountain hunters like myself, all those little bits of extra weight on different pieces of gear adds up quick with the overall gear weight. Seems to get heavier as the day goes on while trekking very steep and rugged terrain. Especially when you're packing a big buck or bull elk out on your back.

If I calculated right it cuts the brake weight in half .40 for steel = 6.4oz minus 3.2oz = 3.2oz for the titanium is this about right?

Ryan, I shoot a Accuracy International AXMC in standard 300NM, and I'm interested in obtaining an "improved" version of he 300NM... have you done barrels for the AXMC? (requires larger tennon, etc) Its nice that we can get matching dies from you too... thats normally a headache with wildcatting.

I don't do just barrels, brake installs, or any other general gunsmithing at this time. This is due to my workload of complete custom rifles. However when a customers barrel is shot out on a rifle I built I can rebarrel it within 4 weeks due to having all the parts on hand.
