.30-06 F-Class Rifle

I have been interested in a 30-06 chambered with a Serengeti reamer for a few years and there is an above average chance that my next barrel will be just that. Thanks for the post.

Then if that's the case, you really should buy the PT&G Serengeti reamer.

Here are my results with the last mid range match our league had yesterday. I shot this with The Black Bitch.

190 Berger Vld's are the right pill for this barrel. This was shot at 300 using a 600 yrd reduced target. Wind was mild, 7 mph at 2 o'clock.

The 9s are my fault. I could feel that they went in to the chamber differently and that bolt wasnt as tight. I knew I should have unloaded them and chambered a different round. Oh well....lessons learned.

It is. The leftist anti gun reality here is ridiculous. Prudence dictates NOT giving them a baseball bat to beat us with.

We all *know* what would happen if the same ppl who call the NRA a terrorist org got wind of this thread.

Wisdom dictates we NOT help them demonize us.

What counsel does wisdom and prudence offer with regard to reproving your ally publicly in battle? You’re supposing that all our words are being twisted and used against us, do you think in-fighting and team-flaming strengthens our position?

Iron sharens iron.

I don't care to rehash all this, but you asked an intereting question. It deserved an answer. :)

Beyond that... that's what God created IM for. :)

Peace.

I am going to ignore the PC patrol and ask about the chamber of the barrel. I have read that there are a couple of ver of the Serengeti reamer and was curious as to which one you used, and how close did it match the print?
There a two different free bore lengths and two chamber sizes. A no turn .340 and a turn at .337. Freebore are .086 or .109. I have one of each. The .109 is for longer bullets like the 208 ELD. For me my rifle with the .086 shoots the Berger 200 20x bullets better than I thought a rifle could shoot no matter what caliber. I do not compete so fatigue is not an issue. My hat is off to any one that competes with a 30-06.

That's one.of the best compliments. I will take that anyday. Thank you Sir.

I think i have the .086 freebore version with the no turn .340 chamber size. The 190 Berger is thee pill for this setup, a close second is the Hornady 195 grn ELD M.

Never used r17. Only h4350. I hear some use h4831, and IIRC, German Salazar used it with 200 grainers for his long range loads.

I have tried IMR4350, H4350 and SW4350. My barrel likes the IMR version the best, followed closely by Hogdon. The SW 4350 is a denser powder, it takes about 1.5 grains to shoot the same velocity as IMR. Since i am shooting a 190 grn bullet , i really have only tried these powders.

This thread has distressed me beyond reason. With all the new info that has been presented over these 7 pages, I will now have to save some money, first for a reamer then a barrel and I just can’t consider what else will be required beyond those two items right now. Woe is me!!!

Ensure the reamer has a 1.5 degree throat angle and it may shoot as accurate as the 308 Win. A 1:12 twist 26 to 28 inch barrel is best for 190 to 200 grain match bullets in warm weather with max loads.

PC doctrine dictates that all phrases and names be taken in the worst possible way.
This is a huge part of the problem in America and American politics.

Political Correctness is self censorship and all censorship is bad. Every word can be taken offensively by someone.

If someone is easily offend then they have a weak and undisciplined mind that is not ruled by logic but emotion!

People like that will almost always make bad decisions and will live their life based on fear and avoidance of fear. It does not matter if reality, knowledge and facts do not support their actions or their beliefs. Human beings are not sock puppets we can control our thoughts, actions, emotions and whether or not be allow ourselves to be "offended".

I have a couple of 1:8 twist barrels in 30cal because I want to be able to stabilize all weights of 30 cal bullets especial the insanely have ones like the . They are hunting weight barrels though.
