250 ackley improved load data

I have fire formed my brass and now ready to start load work up and I was wondering if any one had any pet loads using 87 and 100 grain bullets that give good velocity and accuracy. I have powder available to buy and was hoping some one had some experience with the 250ai. Thanks a lot RW

Give RL17 a try with 100gr Partitions or Hornady SP. I don't know what gun this is for, so I won't give a
load other than to say use 4350 data to start.

Bullet: 87-gr TNT Moly
Primer: WLR
Case: R-P (22-250)
Powder: AA2520 40.0
COAL: 2.580"
Barrel: 26"
Velocity: 3450 fps

Bullet: 100-gr BT Moly
Primer: WLR
Case: R-P (22-250)
Powder: RE-19 46.5 grs
COAL: 2.595"
Barrel: 26"
Velocity: 3150 fps

However, I am done with AA2520 and RE-19.

Per the Sierra Edition V, the very best powder for 250 AI for all bullet weights (for both velocity and accuracy) is RE-15. I bought 2 pounds and will be switching soon, starting with the 87 TNT (I have quite a few 100-BT loaded.)

Sierra lists max loads/velocities for RE-15 (26-in barrel) as:

87-gr bullet: 41.9 gr @3400 fps
100-gr bullet: 41.0 gr @3200 fps

Great cartridge, have fun.
