I have been running a 22x47 lapua "similar to the creedmoor, sans the cult following" for the past 5 years. 80 grain vlds at 3400 makes for flat shooting, but is not great for hides. Recently put on a 1-7 20" barrel to run the 95 smks at 3000. Still a bit rough on the hides but tolerable. It's not a magic combination, but if you have any wind reading capabilities what so ever, it can put bullets on target at distance.

0.040 freebore? Planning on running lighter weight bullets at warp speed? That thing will be Screamer. Wade Stuteville has one running 55"s at 4,000fps. I think it's a 12tw.
69 TMK and 39.0gns of Varget in Hornady or Lapua brass. Smokes yotes in several different rifles. If your bolt is not bushed/SFP, then drop down to 38.2gns.

My current "work rifle" is a 16" 1-6.5" 22 Creed, shooting 88's at 3000fps. It dupes my 6 Creed shooting 105 Hybrids at the same velo, but using a barrel that is 6" shorter, and weighs 4lbs less. Although the barrel is only 16", it's proven to be very lethal, even from 400-800 meters.
Where I hunt, the country is big, windy, and open, with lots of coyote calling pressure. From mid December through the rest of the winter, you'd better be prepared to take and make long shots, or you won't be doing much shooting. Point and shoot rifles aren't gonna cut it on barking coyotes hung up at 500-700 meters.
Both the 22, and 6 Creed are great rounds, with great loading data, and components readily available. No wrong choice......

When I lived Ohio i shot the 55 Nosler in the 22-250. We bragged about how we were getting 3950 fps!!

Well enough, but wintertime mind wandering is costing me money here lately.

In mid June 1969 I got back from a couple of years of Uncle Sam. In mid July I married the girl that had been waiting for me. In mid Sept or Oct I decided to catch up to some of the old guys 60-70 that I hadn't seen for a couple of years. Heck, they were all busy spinning up VZ24, 1917 Eddystone, or other Mauser actions to Douglas barrels set in a Bishop, Fajen or Herters stock. What were they chambering I asked? One of the most popular was the 22-250 case blown out with a 30 deg shoulder and a 6mm bullet they just didn't have a name for it. Heck! The old boys were shooting the 6mm Creedmoor over 50 years ago. I always get a chuckle when I hear guys talking like the Creed is something new.
Hahaha I have an old farmer friend that's culled thousands of animals in his life with exactly that. He showed me the case a long time ago and said it was just a 30deg 22-250 that shoots a 6mm bullet
