22-204 coyote rifle

It sure does...but they keep trying.

It sure gets old educating people on the fact that the 222 Mag is smaller than the 22/204!

That is my cartridge picture, spread it far & wide to educate the masses.;)

Unfortunately, I've all but given up trying to defend the cartridge, it's not worth the heartburn.

While I haven't been a proponent quite as long as AWS, I'm still going on 12 years shooting one, having had 4 different reamers, and built at least a half dozen guns so chambered.

Presently down to only four now days.

Last year I drew a Wisconsin bobcat tag, so not having a fur friendly gun/load in the arsenal, I took my lightest gun & found a reduced load shooting 55 grain Ballistic Tips at 2700, using 17.8 grains of IMR 4227.

Unfortunately I did not call in any cats, but did manage to call in one coyote. The shot was broadside at 30 yards. The coyote ran about 70 yards & piled up, and never bled a drop in the snow. Perfect hide with no exit. I'm sure it would have worked great on a bobcat.
