Hope everyone had a merry christmas and a happy new year. With that said, it's time to announce the first matches of the 20018 shooting season. MidSouth Marksmen will be hosting at AEDC (Tullahoma, TN) a 3x600 on the 27th (Jan) and a 3x1000 on sunday the 28th (Jan). As is customary, these first matches of the year will be club matches. These matches will be weather permitting, so please watch your email for updates. If you haven't received notice of cancellation the night prior, rest assured I'll be there and don't call me a million times. Just show up and shoot.
Also with the start of a new year, memberships are due. Fill out your apps and mail to the address on our website and or bring them to the next match and pay then. Just a reminder, joining MSM help us finance the conduct of these matches and also facilitates the purchase of electronic targets. So please if at all possible, consider joining.
Hope to see everyone on saturday the 27th........................Tim/John................MSM

PS: The Web site( http://www.midsouthmarksmen.com ) is updated with the new schedules and match programs

Shooters,

We are less than a week out from the first MSM match of the new year. Long range forecast shows the
weather is finally warming, unless something changes these matches are a go. Get them on the calendar
and make those reservations. As per the schedule saturday will be a 3x600 and sunday a 3x1000. Get
that ammo loaded and come out and have some fun. End the cabin fever!
Hope to see you all saturday......................Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen.

Great......right now we have a group of 6 of us driving down from KY and IN early Sunday morning to shoot the 3 X 1000

Thanks John (pictured 2nd picture below) and Tim (not pictured below) for the effort and attention to detail necessary to conduct the matches under some trying conditions. Also it was good shooting with the guys (some pictured below) from Indiana! Glad you made the trip. IMG_1950.jpg . IMG_1949.jpg

We had 39 competitors attend our 3x600 club match this past saturday. The sun god was MIA, but the wind god made his presence known to all who ignored him. As always, congratulations to the shooters who won their individual classes. Also a special hats off to "Mr Bill Hocker" who drove from Madison Alabama. Upon moving to the firing line he realized his ammo was still at home. He immediately got in his vehicle and drove all the way back to alabama retrieving his ammo. Then safely returned in time to complete two matches. Now that my friend's, is dedication, especially knowing he had a bottle of bourbon there.
Attached are the results, of those who actually turned in their score cards.
Hope to see everyone come march at our first approve rifle matches..............Tim/John MidSouth Marksmen

I attempted to turn in 2 cards that are not listed. I must have given them to someone that didn't get them in the right hards. Its a club match and it doesn't matter anyway. I wonder if that is where the other missing cards are as he had others in his hand when I gave him ours.

It's not a big deal. Just wanted everyone to know, our turn out was larger than the results reflect. 39 shooters in mid January is pretty good turnout. Once again I just want to thank everyone who attended.

Ok, who's playing with the photoshop! We all know this isn't possible. Besides, at least I'm not shooting a 7mm any rifle at 600 yards.

James probably collected them so he could destroy any F TR cards that were higher than his.

The cards I turned in to the wrong person were both F- Open so you cant blame James for that. Mine was a 591-30X. Kim and Ronnie really nailed it in those conditions in F Open. Congrats to them both.
