.20 Tactical Hunting Bullet

Using that bullet in a couple 20 caliber rifles, accurate and deadly, we don’t have groundhogs but it crumples coyotes and foxes.

The 39 grn
I have never used a Sierra Bullet to groundhog hunt with. I have always used a V-max or a hollow point Berger for most other calibers I use. My .20 Tac shoots a 39 grain Blitz King pretty darn good. Does anyone have any feedback on the bullet?
Sierra has always shot well in most 20 calibers. It will group when the 40's don't. And it does great on varmints at most all ranges. especially in the 1/11 to 1/12 twists.

This is very true. I gave up trying to find a load in my 204r with the 40s and recently finally found some 39s.
Another member gifted me a partial box to try and since I had very limited ones I tried a load I found on 204r where you posted bill and that was it.
I now have a 20tac that I picked up from a BR shooter and this thing shoots anything you out anything I put in it (granted it has I believe a criterion barrel (30”)
Now I found some more and some 8208 so might try to find a load with this powder as I hesr its temp stable vs cfe which I used. Here in AZ we have big temp swings
Hillbilly that is a beauty of a rifle can you give us the details on it

I gave up on the 39 BK (204R) after 3 coyote, poor penetration on frontal shots, angled close shots. Whether calling day or night sometimes you have to take the shot, regardless of the coyotes angle and the bullet must reach vital organs.
What bullet do you use for coyote then?

My partner has been using the 39bk in a 204 AR-15 and its been hammering them. He is stepping on them pretty good. I would say shot placement is key in general.

Good yote bullets in 20 cal are 39gr speer, 35gr berger, 40gr berger, 32gr barnes varminator, 39gr blitzking, 40gr bib. My 20 tac/204 AR has seen all these and killed yotes except the 40gr berger but buddies have had awesome luck with them.

Yes, I won't use these on yotes either , the 35 Berger and 40gr Nosler BT's are better suited, but for colony varmints, the 39 SBK is fantastic.

I went on sierra's website to get some data and saw that they show the 39's in stock and can order directly from them.

New to the group here but have had s 20 tact for about 4 years. Came on an encore barrel dies and 200 lapua Dakota brass in 2019.

I started using the 39 gr Sierra's this year. Very accurate for me. My primary reason was to use this coyote hunting. I haven't had any issues with it so far.

My biggest concern is getting published data. Many of the Internet loads are screaming hot. I was using H322 and hit of 3700 with 24.7 gr. With 25.5 gr being max .

I see CFE 223 being used but couldn't find any load data for that.
