.20 Tactical Loads

I'm in the process of having a Ruger #1B converted to a .20 Tactical. I plan on using Lapua brass and either 40 gr. V-max or 39 gr. Blitzking bullets. Does anyone have any loads they wish to share using those two components plus Reloader 10X and Wolf or CCI 450 magnum primers?

Paul, am using benchmark and 39 gr. BK-s in a 12 tw 20 tac. 4197 and 40 gr.nos.in 11 tw. 20-222. The 20 tac will handle the 39 gr, but my 204 r w/12 tw won't, has to be 35 gr or less. I'll have to look at the data on how much benchmark, right around 25 gas if I recall. I will recommend at least an 11 tw.for the heavier bullet though. Guys running 50-55 gr are doing 7-9 tw. just depends on the bbl. My 11 tw is a pac nor the 12 tw is shilen . Good luck, Tom.

Tom,

Thanks for sharing your loads. I'm getting a Hart or Lilja barrel and neither of them offer a 1-11 twist barrel, so it looks like I'll have to go with the 1-12. I'll also start looking for some Benchmark.
