I've found it's just easier in the long run to use a SB die on 1x stuff, whether you buy it or find it on the ground when you're a brass rat.

+1, I run range brass for my 20P AR into my SB 223 die with no expander ball in it, anneal, chamfer the outside of the neck and then into my 223 FL Bushing die then trim in a pilotless trimmer, Wilson/C&H or my new favorite a Lee Quick Trim. For my Bolt 20P I use new brass.
