a couple weeks ago I attended my first match for 2019 in Hoover Alabama. I loaded up 50 each of the Best load for each the 123 SMK and the Berger 130 VLDH in the 6.5x47 and took these to just see which would outshoot the other. So target 1 I shot the 130 VLDH which is the bottom target of the set of 4 and then on target 2 the 123 SMK based on results targets 3&4 I shot the 123’s. I was able to pull off wins in group and score agg against what I consider some of the best shooters in the country. My score agg was 196 and group agg was 1.732 For custom Heavy Gun Class. I firmly believe I could of had a 1.5 agg if I had shot all 4 targets with the 123’s based on what the 3 targets showed. I’m sold on these for the time being until something better comes along.
Testing velocity on the 123’s is around 2875 fps with a 9 ES using H4350 and S&B primers.
