Took the Bat M HG out this evening to compare the 123 SMK to the 130 VLDH at 300 yards and they actually shoot pretty dang close to one another. The Berger’s did edge out the Sierras by just .043

I take it that the S&B primers were Sellier & Bellot small rifle primers. Seems like they worked just fine. Any issues with these?
My 6.5X47, a Ruger M77 MKII, has a firing pin hole in the bolt face that measures .072 and the hole/pin fit is very snug. When using the same size bolt face firing pin hole in a .17 Rem, (slightly below max and no problems with CCI 450's) regular Winchester small rifle primer cups were extruded into the hole blocking the firing pin. Pressures for the 6.5X47 L are greater than those of the .17 Rem. This resulted in me only using magnum type primers having thicker cups in my 6.5X47 L. Looking at the Sellier & Bellot catalog I see their small rifle primers, V360589, are intended for the .223.
This is of interest to me; I can get really good deals on Sellier & Bellot primers but have held back being uncertain of suitability for a cartridge like the 6.5X47 L with its high pressures approaching 65 K psi.
Possibly, your fine BAT bolt face has a smaller firing pin hole than my Ruger M77 MKII that was intended for .243W & .308 rounds (LRP).
Thank you for posting your incredibly fine results with accompanying data !
