"0" Group at 1000 yards

Getting ready for our NBRSA Sscore Nationals, I shot this 100 yard 5 shot group with my 30BR.
Do E Targets have the resolution to accurately record and measure this.

I wish we had an electronic shot counting system for Short Range that cost about $250 per frame on a 20 Bench Range. I personally buy them for Tomball and we could shoot Short Range Registered Group Matches again.

Shotmarker would give you a number for the group size here but whether it's accurate or not is another story. What would be accurate is the number of shots and location.

A zero group at 1000 can be .999 of a inch

Wouldn’t 1.046” be a “zero group”? Honest question. I don’t know if it’s MOA derived. Seems it should be.

Beats me. Blowing I would assume. I don’t watch wind. When my sighter is good I shoot 5 fast or 10. Whatever it may be. You’ve got people who can read wind or people who learn to shoot fast. I learned to shoot fast. Every flag lies lol

Yep. As Ranger said it seems to always be that last shot. I seem to remember Jack Neary saying the last will always be low if your not careful...my last group in the last match had 4 in 1.5 then pretty sure it was the last one that dropped another inch low...would have loved to join the 1" club for the first time....hey, why don't we start a sticky called the 1" club????? I am new to this game but seems like 1-2 inch groups are pretty rare. Folks could show their targets and pics of the rifle...maybe tell us what cartridge they were shooting.

Tim Hanifen shot a zero @MTlager range I think? Not in a match but it still happened. I think @GlennK shot an 1.060" or so at the Dillon range. Theres pics of these somewhere.

IMO only officially scored targets should be posted in the 1" club sticky, but i am the new guy so calling on senior members and forum bosses/moderators please...can we start a sticky for 1" thousand yard groups and can you define the posting criteria.

Hope to someday make into this club...plan on working dang hard to get there!
