Just a post to show that there are other competitions out there besides on the east coast and the left coast.....
This past weekend in Pella, Iowa, two pending IBS 1000 yard World records were set. The first, by Lee Fisher, from WI, shooting a 300 Ackley, was a Heavy gun, 10 shot, 6 match,60 shots total)score agg. of 98.500, breaking the record of 96.833.
No flash in the pan here. Lee is a past national champion, past winner of shooter of the year, and holds the Heavy gun 10 match group agg. record of 7.3258' also. That's 100 shots at a 1000 yards! He actually set the Heavy gun 6 match, 10 shot, group agg record last year too, but was short lived as on the next relay his son Steven broke that with a 6.0568' agg.
The other record to fall, shot by Al Forbes, also from Wi, and shooting a 6 Dasher, was the Light gun 6 match, 5 shot,,30 shots total) group agg of 4.2810' breaking the record set last year of 4.6832'
