  1. 1911 22 pistol

I had a Colt with adjustable sight a long time ago I used on a 70 series. It worked very well and was surprisingly accurate. It was in a Colt box like the 70 series came in. Traded it like an idiot. Probably at least 30 years ago. Probably pretty scarce but I know they are out there. Gary
  2. 220 swift powders

4064 is probably a little fast for the swift. You can probably get a lot from the Hodgeton loading site with modern powders
  3. 220 swift powders

I've probably used more IMR 4064 than any other powder. Although I haven't used H-414 I am pretty sure it is slower, whitch should make a better swift powder. Mainly I used 4064 in 22-250 and I used it in a swift but I only had one and it was only OK in accuracy dept. Not to take away from the...
  4. Anyone recognize this stamp on my barrel ?

I bet you're right 7mm. I remember when the PPC was born. If I remember right they started out w/22 cal and quickly went to 6mm. ( I might be wrong on that)
  5. Reloading 357, is a crimp needed?

I use Redding profile crimp in 357 41 and 44. Kind of surprised I haven't seen them here. Lee is probably just as good. Redding may not even make them anymore (although they came 1st and did all the research!)
  6. RCBS RCIV press question

This guy is great and I personally like to use people that are members here. Gary
  7. VietNam War Veterans Day- TODAY

Believe it or not my local radio station has a website and they featured an article about this. Have to say I'm very proud of them. I didn't go in till mid '74 so didn't have to go. Sure respect those who did. Gary Gore, USMC
  8. MidwayUSA Powder -- New Facility, Non-Availability

Don't know where you got Maryland Nick, it's in Missouri. The only time I had an issue with Midway was several yrs ago and the re sent it. Don't know where it went. Probably a post office worker because it never showed up. Gary
  9. 22 Hornet advise

In MHO 1st go along with the fact that a lighter primer is desirable I personally went from a pistol primer to the 6 1/2 with improvement all the way. I just use 10 grains of 2400 and a 34 grain Dogtown bullet(Shoots pretty good). Really light load that preserves brass. My gun is a 527 CZ. It...

  14. Identifying a powder help

+1 on BLC/2, I haven't looked but its probably an OK load if that's what it is.
  15. .30-06 - 180gr SST + H4350

In other words 168 and below is IMR 4064 territory
  16. .30-06 - 180gr SST + H4350

Hodgeson 4350 is a fine powder for the 30-06. Probably even better overall on bullets over 168 grains. I usually go with that though and am a big advocate of IMR 4064. To emulate the TV (I put that shit on everything)
  17. Rigel triangle patches, brushes and jags ?

I like them. They work as advertised in my opinion
  18. .30-06 Kicks Like a Mule

I have one of those limbsavers in Mag and field. I have a lot of love for the 30-06 and have 4 but my favorite is a Browning Medalion with the boss system. I don't know why they quit making them. Mine shoots great
