Hey all, thought I'd throw this question out there to get your thoughts. A year or two back, I experimented with H4350 under a 180 Hornady SST in my .30-06. Before this, I had found a decent load for the '06 with IMR-4064 with that 180gr SST, but I've been low on 4064 for quite awhile and have a fair bit of H4350, so I thought I'd experiment. Did my usual 5-shot load work-up, from mid-range charge to near max. No grouping in particular stood out as a likely candidate for this bullet/powder combo. Is this fairly typical, to see a powder/bullet combo that just won't shoot in a particular rifle or cartridge? I don't have pics of those targets readily available, not even sure that I saved them.
