How much scale?

So my loading will be basic, .32 and .38 varieties of revolvers and .22 Hornet and .30 M1 carbine rifles. Maybe .223 rifle and .41 Special revolver also. And sessions will be measured in dozens not hundreds. I will also be loading from the left half of the load data so lots of room on the top for overage without going over pressure. I could pretty much get by with using the Lee dipper corresponding closest to the 25% level of the recipe i.e if the recipe is 4.0-5.0gr. of powder X the dipper closest to 4.25gr. If I'm slightly light it's still enough and if it's over there's plenty of room for that.

But I plan to have a scale and check every X loads (10 maybe?). But which one? I'd love to be operating on a Getty budget but nowhere near that. Is my Lee scale adequate or do I need to look into another option? And if so, which?

I would get an RCBS 502
(I personally like and use a Lyman D7 because I very much like engraved/stamped markings on the beam vs taped on)
The RCBS 2 Poise 502 is a
Fantastic scale, accurate, long lasting, no issues, floating pivot blocks

If you want a very good accurate budget digital
get a Gemini 50 for approx $30

In fact
Get both, you will use both each for a different purpose of reloading
Ebay is your friend here

If you are ever ready for a "Tuned" beam scale for the most repeatable sensitivity to like 1 granule of 4350
let me know

My Lee scale did an excellent job last year in ubr. Accurate and sensitive

You just need a scale.... Nicer is always better if you ever end up getting more involved in shooting. But the plain truth for your needs any balance beam scale that is repeatable will work. Say you are loading for a 223 Remington. You choose Powder XXX. The maximum charge for XXX is 25 grains. You only want to use a charge of 24.5 grains. If 24.5 on your scale is actually 24.6 or 24.4 grains but each time you weigh a charge you get the same reading you are still consistently throwing the same powder charge... That is my take on it.... Your milage may very....
