I love my chargemaster, every time I go to look into upgrading, I remember all the groups I've shot over the years. Don't ignore your previous successes just for something shiny. I feel the greatest upgrade to my reloading over the past 25+ years has been the Garmin Xero. I've used all the different chronos, really liked the accuracy of the Magnetospeed and then the Garmin comes along.
I'm not sure how many people have noticed, but since the Garmin came out, it seems everyone is reporting smaller SDs. Must of us that have one, don't shoot at the range without it anymore, so we're getting so much more data nowadays that says the little things we used to obsess over don't matter AS much. Not saying it doesn't help, but you can still shoot small groups with less prep.
I still have some cartridges that get full prep, but I'm also trusting my data more than chasing the newest trend online. If it works? It works. Part of reloading is trying new stuff, so I focus more on new bullets and powders then I do on equipment upgrades that are half a percent better than what I have.
