One shot case lube

I use it and find it works pretty good. If you follow the instructions and clean any other lube out of your die it'll work fine. The only problem I have with it is it makes a mess of the loading block I use to hold the cases when spraying. Not a big deal because I have 2 loading blocks dedicated for it.

You can always throw them in the dishwasher along with a couple of dirty ball caps.
Add your soap and run it through a cycle.
Hats and blocks are clean.

Yep, I still use it. Main reason is it lubes inside the necks as well. They slide over the mandrel easier. It also wipes off easily. Yes, it's a lot more expensive but a can lasts me a few months. Peanuts compared to cost of bullets :) I also use a dedicated loading block for spraying.

I have stuck a case with it when doing 'heavy' work, like pushing a neck way back or reforming brass. Then I use a wax (right now a tub of RCBS).

I might try that lanolin/alcohol mix in a spray bottle and see how it does.

I was always skeptical of it due to some negative reviews but after watching Fclass John’s video I decided to give it another try following the instructions closely. I am a believer now and it saves me a lot of time. Haven’t had a stuck case for over 3000 cases prepped.

It’s all I use for brass that is brand new or fired only in my chamber.

Royal Case Lube is all I use for pickup brass or aggressive wildcats.
The only issue I have with One Shot aerosol is the smell, but it works when used correctly.

Royal is good stuff. Belly Wax seems to be working well in my initial testing.

I used it for years. Never had a stuck case or sizing issues. Very easy to apply especially if you use a Sinclair Lube rack.

My problem was that for a high volume reloader (about 1,000 sizing per year) I was always running out of it often leaving some wasted lube in the can due to insufficient pressure. The costs also became an issue.

About 20 years ago or so, I switched to Imperial sizing wax. While more cumbersome to apply, a tin lasts me about 4 to 5 years. Thanks to Frank Shuster (RIP), instructing me how to apply it, I was able to apply it more efficiently and correctly. One does have to be cautious to apply it properly or you could end up with dented shoulders.

Another vote for Imperial Sizing Wax.
Goes on easy with just your fingers, wipes right off with a rag or paper towel....no messy spray to deal with.
Been using it for over 30 years, it ain't broke, so it don't need fixin'.
And you don’t know what you’re missing either. You don’t have to touch every piece or even wipe it off if you don’t want. So much easier than imperial.

I do know what I'm missing....all the mess. I used the spray stuff years ago, that's the reason I switched to Imperial. No cleaning up my loading trays either, and I don't mind touching every piece of brass as it gives me another chance to examine it for any defects.

Different strokes......

If you had a mess you weren’t doing it right. I have no mess at all. Only people who have a mess are the ones who think using a loading block is the way. It’s not. Use a ziplock bag. No mess. Fast and easy. I do 500-1000 at a time and sometimes more for my match rifles. Not touching each one as they get touched when I size them and I can see if something is wrong then.

But different strokes as you said.

Wayyyyyyy Different!….. I’m with Rick! Imperial for anything accurate. I have nothing against one shot in fact I have and will continue to use it for certain processes but it for sure is no substitute for imperial

All I load is accurate for my match rifles and One Shot does just fine. If forming brass the Imperial would be a better choice but bumping a shoulder back .001” and setting up .002” neck tension there is no need for it.

We agree to disagree sir. If your able to hold .0005 or less with your one shot while bumping shoulders across large batches your a better reloader than I. My hats off to
Ya.

I have a can has been sitting on the bench for a while. Never tried it due to internet chatter.
Stumbled across John’s vid, followed his instructions.
Works great, I’ve been using it for 223 great results.

Well according to the instructions on "my" can : "After sizing, wipe each case and remove the remaining lubricant. Also not only should you avoid prolonged breathing of vapors, but also contact with skin and eyes. I have Imperial, RCBS, Royal, and Lee case lubes and none cautions about use.......and RCBS is from California where they deem everything is hazardous to your health.
Also, I just noticed the top of my One Shot can is covered in a varnish like coating, like that found on cans of Kroil if left uncleaned and allowed to dry over time.

Must be something new as it never said that it needed to be wiped off and Hornady themselves said it was fine to leave it on. I usually toss mine in the tumbler for 15-20 min.

As for breathing it or spraying it in your eyes, if you are doing either you are doing it wrong. lol Been using it over 20 years and no issues touching it. Probably says that in a lot of things in this sport so don’t get all soft about it with the lube. ;)

One shot is good.

I use the alcoholn lanolin mix in a very light coating and don't even bother wiping or retumbling the cases

When I was still mainly using One Shot, I used 3 one foot long 2x4's.
Each board had a row of small holes drilled in where I dropped in
long finish nails. I just dropped the cases on the nails, sprayed, turned
the board 180 degrees and sprayed again. that board would be set
aside then go on to the next board, and so on. When done, the first
board was dry enough to go to the sizer. I used a large card board
box layed on it's side to act like a paint booth.
