Maybe, just my opinion here, maybe NRA execs have sat down and decided which states are lost causes..... like Washington, Oregon, California, Illinois........ and those decisions have influenced their spending. What throw money at a lost cause? My opinion again.... but so much money was spent keeping WLP out of prison, and the money had to come from somewhere, that a decision was made to abandon those states deemed lost causes. That's the way it looks to me. I have no evidence to support my idea or opinion but to me, that is how it looks regarding NRA presence in Deep Blue states.

A post above details all of their activity in blue states. In my opinion , they haven't gotten much done for all of their effort and spending.

If that's true ( a debatable point), then the NRA should tell us all that rather than raising money based on the claim that they're going to do / are presently doing something about it .

I think there is a pretty obvious reason why the NRA will never say that.

Say What? Define "benefit". As I stated above, my rights are being violated at a level never imagined. The only people who could state that blue states have benefited are those who support disarmament of the population.

Hard to fight states where their own Supreme Court goes against the States Constitution.
Then you have to wait for the United States Supreme Court to pick it up, And if they reverse the law, the state changes it or ignores the ruling altogether.

Well beyond that, here in WA a bill is proposed add a tax to tires that is above and beyond the sales tax. The kicker is that the bill makes it illegal to tell the consumer how much tax was applied. It will not show up on the receipt. Only sales tax.

Full auto should never ever / should never ever have been negotiated away. They are precisely the firearm that guarantees a free state. That's what I mean by saying the NRA needs to decide the things it will never , ever negotiate away and will never give up on.

I don't even understand what your above post means or what you're getting at. I never indicated any desire to run the world. Simply to hold an organization that identifies itself as part of the solution to bad gun laws - AFTER they are enacted - and raised a billion dollars in that effort... to hold them accountable for subpar performance. I don't in any way understand why you would object to me doing that... unless you are on the board and my objection is something you're taking personally. *YOU* said they have no part in fixing the problem. So i'm simply asking why did they claim they do. THEY are saying YOU are wrong to claim they have no part in the solution to the problem. Seems to me the real argument is between you and NRA as to their role in addressing anti- gun elements in society. I would invite you to go talk with them about that.

But as the money rolled in, it also rolled out. When those in charge got more experience and learned how to sideline that money into their own pockets, they did. As as the NRA got used to the Big money, they will always ask for more. With the insane amount given to the Brewer law firm, the only thing that kinda makes sense is that it is acting like a holding company until things settle down, then they can distribute the cash to the players. I seen figures like over 200 million going to Brewer, while a ton more to Ackerman agengy. The bottom of the line member can't even imagine the cash flow taking place. Then the shooting sports suffer somewhat as money is taken from the bottom pool to support the top pool of command.
Its a lot like Congress.

Truly sad. Reminds me of my local sheriff, who was strongly pro-gun and concealed carry and even held himself out as a follower of Jesus Christ ... was eventually exposed to have Embezzled over sixty thousand dollars.

It appears to me that from what has, and is being posted, there is little care and support for the NRA. That fact makes me ask "why are we supporting an organization like this"! Apparently, a lot of people are unhappy but they keep renewing their membership. WHY! If shooters would quit supporting this association, they, the NRA, would have no money to misuse. That's elementary! Same for local clubs that require NRA membership. Drop that requirement immediately because all it's doing is feeding the hogs. Clubs would not expel the entire membership if the membership was united and stood up for what they believe. If clubs won't admit that they are feeding the "NRA poor practices" and that their membership isn't happy with that, they too, will have to change. This local club requirement is giving the NRA millions (an estimate) to misuse.

I dropped my NRA membership, and I joined a club that does NOT require that I support the NRA. If every NRA member did the same, we would see change and not just have to talk about it! It's ALL ABOUT MONEY! OUR MONEY! Trust me, you'll enjoy shooting just as much as you did before you became a supporter! I could go on and on about the damage that has been done, what it will take to upright the association, but I'm sure that the upper echelon of the NRA feels like they are invincible. They MUST learn, yesterday, that we don't need them - but that they need us.

The 6PPD mitigation fee is separate from and in addition to the $5 vehicle tire fee, but, like the
$5 tire fee, is collected from the seller of the tire. However, unlike the $5 vehicle tire fee, the
seller may not collect the 6PPD mitigation fee from the buyer, charge it as a separate line item at
the point of sale, or display the fee on a receipt provided to a customer.
