FORUM NOTICE Forum Milestone -- 75,000 Registered Members!

I think this is worth considering.

I would have thought the number would be higher than 3.5% of the members contributing. It should be.
I doubt that all 75,000 members look at this FORUM daily or even weekly, but there are many that do. Even if a person looks at it occasionally and gets something out of it, how much is that information worth in a year's time. Many time, if it helps at all, it's probably worth more than the suggested donation.

What I find bothersome is the number of members who post frequently and contribute nothing. It's obvious they enjoy the FORUM and they're spending a lot of times using it. Even the Silver costs less than many meals when you eat out.

I don't know the folks who run this FORUM and no one ask for my opinion, but it is my opinion that more people probably should help to keep the lights on.

I'm glad to see the FORUM is still growing, that means they are doing something right.
I could not agree more!
We all know what this sport/pass time cost to participate in, and $50/year is not much all things considered.
The wealth of knowledge and willingness to help other members is worth the donation.
Just think about what was lost when Saubier.com became inoperative??

IMO, your view of "contribute" is too narrow. Good content is a contribution. Filling the information bank is what draws people here, whether it's by a Google search or a linked post from another forum.
I agree, there is more than one way to contribute. Have you noticed how often the people who contribute much of the most informative information also are financial top contributors?

It's a personal preference and we each have to decide what seems right for us.
For me, I can't contribute a lot first hand or professional knowledge, so for me it only seems right to help a bit financially. In exchange, I have learned a lot. It's still one of the least expensive way of learning I've found in quite a while.

I've even sold a couple of things.
