Pa. has big black bears for sure.

On Pa Hunt Forum it was reported park officials to a Gator in and helped get it out. Great, kudos to those guys. There is a beautiful picture on there also.

We have had a few fatties come through our property in WV. Neighbor killed one a couple of years ago that completely filled the bucket on a JD 5420. We couldn’t weigh it as it bottomed out the only scales he, and we, had, which went up to 400lbs.

Just a little bit smaller than the one that lumbers along in my neighborhood, and I'm in Waterbury, on the Middlebury town line. That is in Ct. not Vermont.
Yep, New Preston,CT not far from Waterbury. I worked at the Farm Shop on Watertown Ave in Waterbury in the early 60s while attending Watertown HS. I am from Bethlehem CT originally and quite familiar with Waterbury in those days.

Moraine Park is not a place I would call bear habitat. It's in Western Pa. , not in the mountains. More like an Ohio area with rolling hills and people living all around.

I killed a 440 lb one but in the Centre County mountains. It took a team of 7 to get that one out.

Habitat = food water cover. He wasn't there for a weight loss program lol.
They are panhandlers that have been in Butler longer than the bio has lived.

The tonnage of deer corn and sunflower the "farm" stores go through is huge.

The majestic wild trophy mystique wore off long ago with farmers, beekeepers, etc.
Price hike in row 1-8 sweet corn please.

In some areas the season is still on. I bet that trend grows.

I'm glad the guy got him.
Imagine a car crash?
