How did you get a CR2 single shot, don’t see that option?I just picked up my barreled action from my gunsmith. Not a BR but a CRS 2 single shot with trigger hanger. I originally purchased this as a backup action. I am moving to a short magnum for 1K F-class and wanted something that was a R700 footprint. I still need to skim bed it but I pulled the R700 out of my Kestros, swapped the Jewel trigger in and it dropped right in to the stock. My original idea was to use if as a backup while I collected parts for another rifle, but this thing is smooth. I won’t know how it shoots until next weekend but I am impressed. It is attractively priced and my gunsmith had it in 3 days.
I'd like to know as wellHow did you get a CR2 single shot, don’t see that option?
If you go to their site,it will give you the option for single shot toward the bottom of the description as you're picking out options. How did you get a CR2 single shot, don’t see that option?
I’m not seeing that, maybe they got rid of optionIf you go to their site,it will give you the option for single shot toward the bottom of the description as you're picking out options.
Kauger's competition actions in the CRS and BR line are the same and tighter bolt to raceway clearance's than the VPR series from my understanding. Someone with a set of feeler gauges could confirm this, but I would liken it to the panda vs the atlas tac as far as that goes. The VPR is a hunting action. I wouldn't get a VPR if I'm building a rifle to compete with. Why handicap yourself?CRS are meant for mag feeding, If you want single shot go to the VPR
My VPR long action shoots just as good as my BRIIIKauger's competition actions in the CRS and BR line are the same and tighter bolt to raceway clearance's than the VPR series from my understanding. I stand corrected, it IS the VPR I was thinking of not the CRS...my badI’m not seeing that, maybe they got rid of option
Not saying it doesn't, but comparing the two is apples to oranges, and Kauger Arms will tell you the same because I've asked. If anyone is using a Kauger for comp use I'd be willing to wager 99 percent are using CRS or BR line.My VPR long action shoots just as good as my BRIII
I think they’re excellent actions. I’ve got a BRIII with .308 and PPC bolt heads. Just be careful when you bed them. If the bedding epoxy gets over the load port/beveled edges, you’ll have a difficult time getting the action out without damage to a wood stock. Ask me how I know…
