Do they have a barrel attachment system that allows for an easy install with a known set up. Like if they copied Ruger 10-22 barrels then a new match barrel is easy.

A couple years ago I was all set to break out the credit card for one, but the less than stellar reviews nudged me into the Begara BMR instead. My BMR is a fantastic shooter, so I had no regrets with that decision.

I have plenty of different ammo and lot numbers, so I'm hopeful I can find something a damn sight better than their one inch at 50 guarantee with the Waypoint.

You know….. as a kid they warned me about drugs, tobacco, alcohol…. Nobody said a thing about 22 LR.

I bought a Tikka in March- my first Rimfire in 30 years. I’ve since bought it some cerakote, a manners stock, a trijicon, and a suppressor. It’s always with me. I love that little thing.

I have known Springfield centerfires to be good shooters.

I don’t doubt anyone in this thread, but I do think sometimes the YouTube boys don’t gather the concept of lot testing and such. I tested a bunch of ammo in mine and got groups from .2” to too inaccurate to make a decent tomato stake.

I bet @alf makes it work.

I have used federal bulk 22LR from walmart. With a 3x9 scope and not trying hard i think mine shoots alright. I bought a 2020 waypoint last year when the centerfires had a rebate. Got the 6.5 prc and a free 22LR. Im happy with it for what it is but only taken it out 2 times i think

I wouldn't dry fire any of my rimfires. Some use snap caps. I use the yellow wall anchors. They work well for me.

Even if it doesn't shoot it looks great just sitting there! I am betting you will get it shooting bug holes! Keep us posted on your progress.

They are threaded. 0ne mm metric thread.

While they don't specifically say dry fire, the section on trigger adjustment says to test functionality:

D. Safety off, cycle action, pull trigger lever - firing pin should drop/fall

Most modern rimfires can be dry fired. there is a stop built in to keep the firing pin from impacting the barrel.

Holy shit yes, a couple universes apart.....

Here it is in all it's glory. I took it all apart, removed the picatinny, cleaned everything up, then stuck a .015 shim under the back of the rail for a little more up, & put 'er all back together.

Topped it off with a new Vortex Viper HD 3-15x44 in Seekins rings, & she's ready to rock.
