I myself didn't, but it works extremely well and @Roy H pretty much has lead wherever feasible? He could answer those questions. I only know it's heavy, and when I want to tip it over to change a trigger or whatever, the gun "wants" to right itself. Roy did in my opinion, the perfect heavy gun, as it's drivable despite being large and heavy.@tom, you learn where and how much weight works best
in what areas on this stock?

How much change did it take to keep your rifle in tune from shooting in the snow to summer temps?
From powder charge to seating depth. With out giving away your secrets.
I was just wondering how hard it is to keep a great shooting rifle at peak performance?
Hal
Ole Roy must be tough as a pine knot to push that chunk of wood around the shop enough to make a stock out of it.
Did you see the FPS change much Tom from Winter to Summer temps with the same charge of powder? No change in powder charge,

That is also an old Dave Tooley'ism!Jud 96 I was talking with a guy a Manatee and he says I only shoot 2 shot groups for testing, Ive never had a third shot make the groups any smaller. Kinda hard to argue with that kind of logic

I'm sure there will be many a$$ crack of tom winter mournings then lolyou know, because we want to try to beat it! Lol
Jackie, I have had a lot of fun with it on my side. So much experimenting with equipment. Im a mechanic so thats the side of it I love. I wish there was some matches closer to you because I know you would enjoy it. Theres just something about shooting a small one at 1k.This thread makes me wish I was younger and could get into 1000 yard Benchrest.
After reading this and digesting it for a bit.Hal,
One thing I would say I have seen is that if you do the work to get the perfect tune it holds up very well. Now some powders are really sensitive, I'm not talking about that. But for the majority of powders we use in long range the tune really does hold well. I do really believe after experience with a lot of shooter in different disciplines that if your going out of tune, you never had it to begin with. Probably the #1 issue is your on the wrong powder. If the nodes moving all the time the first thing Id do is try another powder. But the whole tune needs to be right. And I mean the best primer, best powder, correct seating and charge, neck tension, all of it. Its a lot of work and you may burn through a barrel learning it all but the second one will be much easier if we stay on the same "program".
To quote @gunsandgunsmithing I'm done "doing my thing",
