haha thats so true, no need to be an optics expert to see the difference,I have no idea how they do it but they are remarkable. A guy doesn’t have to be an optics expert to look through a scope on a firing line and decide if it’s bright or dark. The darkest I’ve seen is my Golden Eagle, the brightest being NF Comp.
our eye is the judge more than their quoted light transmission numbers right?
I mean its just interesting how things like optics coatings have advanced and how they can make a scope so much better now. I mean things got sketchy for awhile when they outlawed using lead in glass and found other ways to get around it,
I mean it really helped me understand anyway why there may be such a price difference from one scope to another even if they had similar specs. But nightforce has always impressed me too, they know what they're doing
