It's a Sad Day in Oregon

JDS,..
Supposedly, Trump started, a 2nd Amend, "Division" to, LOOK At, ALL, the Gun Laws, in the USA !
You may Keep an Eye on THAT,.. Before, Moving Out to, a Free'er,. State !
Lots of SMART People have moved to,. Ky, Az, Ut, Ark, ID, Wy, Mt, TN, Tx,... etc., to,.. Escape,..
For, a Little While !
And still, nothing will get done about ALL & ANY states that infringe. Its just political theater.

Look at the UK for a glimpse at the future. I recently spent over an hour filling in the forms to renew my licence. No changes required, still need the medical report and visit from the police. Then the £200+ in various fees. I'm surprised at the changes in the US.

The UK, Gave Up their Guns ( 1910ish - 1925ish, era ) and NOW they are, having their Throat's cut with,.. Knives !
Stupid People, all Over the Globe,.. NEVER,. EVER,.. Learn.
To be fair no-one gives them up, those in power take them. You can be sure of what will happen if you don't. They make examples of the first people and everyone opts for self preservation. As others have said you need to win at the ballot box.

My only memory of Oregon was being screamed at by a gas station owner for trying to fill the tank of my rental car to the top.
If they can make you think that filling your car with gas is dangerous, they can pass any other stupid legislation that they can dream up.

"Flee socialism
move to freedom
vote for socialism"

I thought one of the things about a Republic was the rights of the individual would never be subject to a simple majority rule. I guess that only applies to some things...

Really a shame because Oregon, Washington and California are beautiful states. Colorado has been a favorite state for me. I've never lived there but I've worked short-term and vacationed there many times. We all know what's happening there, and has been happening for a long time. I love Florida too but these days there's SO MANY people there.

This whole thing feels like the twilight zones for me. I live on the eastern side of Oregon, and everything is about the same as it was a hundred years ago socially. And that's basically the case for the east side of Washington, Oregon, and even NE Kali.
Our towns are rural, small populations, two land roads, a couple of cops for incredibly huge areas -- and yet people in Portlandia pass the laws that we live by. jd

I could not of said it any better ^^^^^^^^^

Its the major bigger cities that are telling you how to live your life out in the countryside.

It can be fixed, but it require`s ALOT of men with big nutters!
Apparently we don`t have that option anymore. To many man buns and soyboys.

Hey Feller, man I feel bad for you! Most people say, even to themselves, I'd do this and that, but nobody knows (other than in cases you have trained specifically for) what to do in a situation like your's. My first impulse would be to move to another state, but there's no way at my age I could move, we came to where I live in the early 1800s, last Christmas I counted noses and there's 34 of just my family, sons and daughters plus in-laws and kids and I'm the oldest limb on the tree, plus the cousins from my generation. All have jobs and life history here, plus the farm and homes it would be impossible to move. Pray hard and fight them legally is about all you can do, my prayers are with you... John
There are so many that say, BS to that and pack up and move! It isn't that easy for many, many people. Family, business, careers, health issues,...... It just isn't easy to pick up everything you and your family has and move. Easy as it is to say, it isn't easy to do.

The problem is that there isn't a single state in the union that isn't in danger of this happening. It only takes a couple of huge urban centers of population, which is where most of these lib voters take up residence. They overwhelm the state government, and impose their stupidity upon the entire state. -- and yes, voter apathy is a major problem. jd
102 counties in the state of Illinois. The entire state is controlled by one single county, Cook, which includes the City of Chicago. There aren't enough votes in 101 counties to override the votes in a single county. Therefore, the Democratic machine remains in power.

Then all they see is Apple News on their iPhone and it promotes their cause.
And THIS^^^ is a big part of the problem. There is almost no such thing as a local news paper anymore, and most local/regional news is pretty much word of mouth - and usually not very local.

Those movies "Hunger Games" were pretty descriptive as far as the "outer districts" and the disconnect that exists. And gun laws aren't the only thing that we have little control over. Our land, water, atmosphere, building permits, etc., are very different than urban areas, but they pass our regulations for us. jd

Same can be said for NYS, NYC runs the whole friggin state!
Upstate New York is one of the nicest area`s to live, yet the whole state is ruined by NYC libtarded skanks.

This tells the tale of how it happens. Let a bunch of dumb-assed libtard Californians flood your cities and breed. Then with their powers of numbers, elect a super majority into your state legislature, and BINGO!

I’m not disagreeing with your presentation of the problem, but I’m pretty sure Portland has homegrown their own lefties and anarchists. You give California too much credit when you blame them…the average person in CA could not handle one long cloudy, rainy winter in Portland

:D :D I hear what you're sayin, but apparently that's not the case, I'm one of those odd and incredibly rare Oregunians who has been here my entire life. During that life, as I meet folks and get to know them, even in my little ag town, 90%ish of them come from California -- or Mexico by way of California. And I can't blame them, except when they want to turn my formerly wonderful state into a rural yuppy version of that abomination to the south.

And by the way -- I'll take a hard working Mexican (preferably legal) over a retiring IT tech with five million bucks who wants to buy a rural ranchette and change the zoning laws so that I've got to move my chicken pen. jd

Yes.
But it doesn’t have to be that anymore. It’s split 50-50 with population in NYS and NYC. People ‘upstate’ just don’t vote. They believe they’re still outnumbered. And in NYC they vote early and often.
And yes again I agree, NYS is one of the most beautiful of them all.
Adirondack Park is larger than Yellowstone, Glacier, and Yosemite national parks combined.
