Watch collectors?

I would like to read more about the Seiko at top of your images, with green bezel.
I call it the "Seabastard". It's an homage to the Omega Seamaster case, bezel, face, hands, and bracelet. I use a Seiko NH series movement. I have an original Semaster James Bond watch. The fit and finish is high end......as is the price.

that looks great. I think it is interesting that some of the best seiko watches are not imported to the US. very nice work.

Ah, another Omega Seamaster fan. That's my daily wear unless I'm in the bush or out in the outback here, then it's my old Seiko diver.

My Seamaster 300m Professional keeps the best time out of all my watches, including Rolex. Mine has the 'wave pattern' and not the 007 motif, purchased new in 2009. Until seeing that pic, I was unaware of the 007 pattern in the background. We just watched all the Daniel Craig Bond movies, and noticed that he wore that Seamaster in all of his Bond films.

Crappy pic, doesn't really show the wave pattern, but it's there.

For sure. I don't wear mine anywhere I feel "danger" might be lurking....but it's a fine thing to strap on when the coast is clear. I'll eventually get the blue wave face as it's one of my favorites. I snagged the 007 mainly for the cartridge motifs on the rotor so it's really firearms related. Rolex makes a fine watch but IMO, Omega exceeds it in overall quality and features.

Folks, looking for some help. I have a girard perregaux watch that needs a new leather band. I want black leather. What is a good maker of leather bands?

Thanks,
MarkTrew

I typically get mine from Strapsco but they are decent quality at best. Doubt it's what you're looking for. Wish I could speak to the quality you desire.

What should a service, (clean, oil, etc.), on a Seamaster cost these days. My last servicing cost $200 but I've been quoted much higher by a different shop.

I would ask how old n unique is the watch?
My 1974 Seiko Bullhead and 1977 Seiko Pogue were unique pieces and not just any watch repairman will have parts or be familiar with your time piece. Found two repairman who specialized in these two models. Service on the bullhead was $350 and the Pogue service was $325. Both had NOS seals n crystals installed. That was two years ago.
There are numerous counterfeit parts available for desirable vintage watches out there. If u are not concerned with originality, then any repair will do.
