Shoulder bump, how much is too much ?

There has been a lot of these threads since the advent of Shoulder Bump Dies, Many people who don't understand headspace and the problems associated with excess headspace.

There has been lots of people referring to comparators as headspace gauges. In a way you are measuring headspace, But a headspace gauge is used to check your chamber for headspace that is within spec or not.

Neck sizing has been demonized, But it is a very good way of extending the life of your brass and avoiding headspace issues, Bump the shoulder back when you feel resistance, Normally after several firings.

Are you doing that with a body only die? If so who is the die maker?
Yes. I use a Redding body die to size the 0.200 to -0.002, Forester bushing shoulder bump, Cortina mandrel die. This lets me adjust every critical dimension individually. Depending on the chamber, I may use a Redding small base body bump to get what I need with touching the shoulder. Everything is set up in a Dillon 650
