Redding sizing wax question.

Just got off the phone. Talked to Curt himself. He told me the lube has a lanolin base and could possibly be used for lip balm. Great guy to talk to.

When i said it tastes good, I wasn't kidding. Lol
I probably over used it on 1st half dozen cases, it don't take much at all.

Case lubes are probably about as prolific as gun cleaning solutions or cast bullet lubes. If you want a chuckle look at the Cast Boolits or ASSRA forum at the sticky on bullet lubes, some of those recipes will amaze and confound you. If it's waxy, greasy or oily, and provides a slippery film to coat the brass, that forms a film that stays on the brass while sizing, good enough. Some is easier to apply or remove than others, is the essential difference.
I used RCBS for 30 yrs or so, switched to Imperial 12-13 yrs ago, less mess, not expensive, as it goes a long way.

I keep a tube of the generic lip balm from the dollar store on the shelf. Mainly for stubborn, hard sizing brass. The easy, small stuff, large batches stills gets Hornady one shot. I clean my dies with Hornady one shot lube/cleaner. Than I'm good to use any lube for sizing. Keep your vent hole clear!!

Im going to try the Royal next. I never thought I'd use the whole tin of imperial, but the day is approaching. I like that it is edible. I wanna die from bacon and whiskey, not chemicals....
IMO ..... Imperial is a PITA getting it all off the cases.
I generally wash my cases, so use a water soluble lube

Dave try a tin of Curt Knitt's lube.
I seriously just want to size brass since I tried it.
I was a die hard 1 shot user.
I called to order some today but nobody answered. I’ll try again tomorrow. I’ve never had any issues with one shot or imperial lube. I’ve used both extensively. I tend to use one shot when I do larger batches of sizing. I’ll use imperial on my fingers when doing small sizing batches.

I use a light vis petroleum oil sold by AutoZone for about $9 a qt. It's labled as a hyraulic fluid. I have been rolling them on a pad for 50 years. I think AutoZone now sells it as a synthetic hydraulic fluid. Nothing lubes better than petroleum based fluids. Most of the other stuff works if you are not moving the brass very much.

Almost everything thats sold as synthetic oil is made from petoleum oil. Years ago the oil companies got the government to allow highly refined petroleum oil to be called synthetic.
