So Cal Fires!!!

From what I'm reading here California would be the last place I would want to live. If I did live there now I believe I would get out even if I had to leave walking with nothing but my shirt on my back. These post are heart-breaking to think about how people are being treated. And I do understand it is all Gov. related.

News is reporting a leaked memo from idiot LA City mayor Bass calling for an additional $49 million dollars to be cut from the fire departments budget just 2 days before the fire broke out.

Nobody likes to see loss of life. Every time you turn around there is some self induced problem coming out of California. Democrats do democrat stuff. People vote for it, people push it on others. I wish that mentality was better kept within the confines of that state, but they travel to places and “enlighten” others with the same failed policies.

If your insurance provider decides to punt, maybe you are doing something wrong.

Hopefully the rest of the country uses California as an example of everything not to do in every way. Otherwise we will all also be responsible for our own actions.

"Maybe they will start thinking about the consequences of their choices." Those that sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind.

Don't count on it!! When the very few Republicans in California government get shut down by the democrats when they try to speak?
Dead giveaway things arn't likely to change anytime soon.
Still waiting for the BIG ONE when the BLUE liberal coast dwellers fall off into the Pacific Ocean. The rest of the state is mostly RED!!

Was there supposed to be a N in cuts?
Asking for a friend

Watching the news on this. No mention of the jobs lost. Where did all the people go? To cleanup will they dig a big hole and push it all in? Truck it someplace? Much easier to leave when you have nothing to take with you. I would just walk away and let the bank fight the insurance company and the county try to collect taxes on it.

All those people down there are going to have a really tough time if they plan on rebuilding. The insurance companies are going to take a really long time to pay out on the policies. Then comes the building permits, because of the fires they will change the building codes. They are going to require all the homes to be built with IR1 construction. That is making it so nothing on the outside of the building can burn. I bet it takes 10 years for all the vacant lots to be fully built.
Sounds like a lot of barndominiums in their future.

Maybe "Someone" will come along in a few days and take away money from Ukrane, ect, ect and spend a few billion on our own country?????

The main problem with that is finding a Comptitent agency to implement the funds.

Help the common Americans not people above a certain $$$ level.

This is a heart breaking catastrophe of epic proportions which will take decades and billions of dollars to rebuild, and unfortunately many will never recover. At the same time it makes your blood boil! While this was forecasted for many years, incompetent progressives continued to be elected at the local and state level. The degree of faulty policies and financial allocation is staggering. Yet today the state congress will have a special session to Trump-proof the state, which demonstrates a special kind of stupid. Hopefully the voters will wise up and elect someone with sanity.
