Well, that would be my "high end" Ruger Ranch rifle topped wiith a Nikon ffp 3-12 chambered in 7.62x39 & 17 cent Wolf steel case 123gr hp. 75-yard heart shot behind left shoulder, exiting right shoulder. 30 yard death run.

So proud of this lady on her first deer she shot with my crossbow. Son and her date in high school and I have watched them both grow up enjoying the outdoors. Son has taken her duck and turkey hunting. She’s shot a few ducks but no turkey yet. Son showed her how to butcher it the other night and she brought me some adult beverages for using my crossbow!!!!

Son is sure is showing up the old man this year! Ohio archery doe and 8 point buck. College buddy invited him to going hunting in Pa this year and shot this buck with 257 JDJ Encore.

Christened the new Tikka 350L today, tag-teamed the lil buck with my cousin (on the left). He was running a slug gun & didn't quite lead it far enough. Got a back leg, it ran towards me & I took care of it. The doe committed suicide when we were retrieving the buck.

Caught this guy out mousing in a field, we were shooting targets today and it was just starting to snow. Paced off @ 385 ish yards.

#2 and 3 off this road kill deer this week. None have been useable fur. But landowner happy, he wants deer,turkey and pheasant back on the property.

Went out chasing chukar again on Friday... it is like an addiction chasing those birds up and down the hills....EXHAUSTING ! But then you hear another one cackling and you must go chase it.

This weekend is Ohio’s extended gun season. I shot my doe with 445 super mag contender pistol. Son shot t his with an Encore in 445 SM The last two deer son has shot he donated to Hunters helping the Hungry

Went back to the road kill deer. Watched deer and saw two coyote run by no shot. As I was leaving (wind change that would have me upwind of the dead deer) I heard 2 coyote behind the blind. Got back in and howled (FoxPro)twice out the window. Set rifle back up, turn on thermal. Coyote 150 yards away on the bait. It was looking west, 2nd coyote comes into view. Shoot first one drt. Second runs 20 yards and turns around I shoot that one. It drops. I pull mag and grab another from my pack and look out side windows with binos. Get back on the scope, 2nd one is gone. Pan left(east) and see it about 300 yards, when it stops I shoot it again, excitement over.

Son shot another doe. He’s going to have it made into summer sausage etc for the land owner. Real honey hole 3.5 miles from our house! I drove over and we tossed it in the truck. While we were skinning it out he said I’m done for the year come on wimp

My cousin's kid is finally heeding my advice and is retiring his late grandpa's (my uncle) 1187. I've nursed that ol shotty along for the past 20 years. It's finally going on the wall.

This big SOB was taken last night about 8 miles from my place. 34 lbs! The same kid got a decent one last year... I might have to finally break down and by a thermal.
