I tried Pam 20 years ago, Big mistake. Use Mclube release or Brownells spray release. I know the discontinued Johnsons paste wax works great, And honestly even at $50.00 a tub it's way cheaper than McLube or Brownells.Good old original PAM cooking spray works great!! The secret to using PAM is to use it like you are cooking. Set the barreled action in the hot sun and then apply the spray. It will penetrate into the pores just like it does in the frying pan. But, you have to bring the action back down to nominal temps before bedding!!!!!I tried Pam 20 years ago, Big mistake. Use Mclube release or Brownells spray release.
