Using kiwi neutral shoe polish for bedding release agent? Edit—- black kiwii worked good - that tin will last me quite awhile

Mold release in a spray can works great. Easy application and easy clean-up. Goes on super thin and provides a very smooth surface. Works great for me.

I used this on my last being job. Worked great and smells good to boot
I’ve used neutral Kiwi with very good success. I let it dry a bit, and applied a second coat in the same manner. That way I didn’t miss spots. I would think that other colors of Kiwi shoe polish just contain pigment.
I would stay away from any release agent that contains silicone for fear that it will get on the stock etc, making finishing other parts an issue. I’m thinking no car waxes. Just hypothetical though.
Other members have done 10x as many bedding jobs than I have though, so take my comments with that in mind.

i tried car wax last time and that was the hardest i ever had a stock release from the bedding- wont do that again. —. neutral kiwi has always released decently. im gonna try black kiwi on a little spot and see what happens. thanks
