Target scope suggestions

If you were buying now to shoot at F-Class size targets what would you buy? I like the price/spec of the Delta Stryker 5-50 but there doesn't seem to be much competition at that price point. Above that you seem to be looking at the NF Competition and March. Is it worth just saving the difference, is the extra cost worth it? I'm not a serious F-Class shooter but I'd like more precision, with the extra magnification, above the Sightron 6-24x50 I'm currently using.

If you are happy with your Sightron & just desire more magnification, I suggest another Sightron. I use a pre-Highmaster 10-60 March and it does everything I need it to do for knocking holes in paper......If your wallet feels no pain, look into the March Majesta.

Rick
Thanks, the Sightron is pretty good. I see there are some 10-50 non-ED models. Are the ED models worth it? No zero stop and only 1/4 MOA though.

Seems a step up from your 6x24 would be a 8x32. You can stay with Sightron.

there is also the trijicon tenmile 5-50, a bit more than the delta, or the athlon eres 15-60, a bit less
Yes I have seen the Trijicon suggested elsewhere, unfortunately only the Delta equivalent is available here. The Athlon Ares ETR UHD 15-60-56 SFP looks interesting. No idea how good it is at the higher magnifications. Past experience shows cheaper optics aren't so good at the higher end, time to do some reading...

Europtic has some good pricing on Trijicon Ten Miles and NF competitions (demo models) in the power range you want right now. I’ve bought demo models from them in the past, like new. More models of both available.

It's interesting looking at all the options, there's flaws in most of them, but if they were perfect no-one would buy the high end scopes!

Save your money and get the Delta 5-50x. If the Sightron SV is another great choice if the price is similar where you live.

I had Vortex GEs but switched to the Sightron SVs because I like the dual speed parallax of the SVs.

Thanks. That Sightron model doesn't appear to be available in the UK, the Delta seems to sit in a price range without much competition. To move up from that it really only makes sense to go to £3k and then March become an option. I think I'll go for the Delta for my uses and budget.

The Athlon Ares 15-60 is Plenty good! We have two new ones and love the scope--zero issues --crispy sharp--still looks great even at 60x lifetime warranty and the price is right- around $1K -Quality scopes have been getting more plentiful and cheaper-The Arken 7-35 looks like it might be a winner also at $599 current sale price--ordered one just to have a look
I do wish some company would do a 15-60 or 50x target scope with a little fatter reticle--all of the units I have looked through in that category have very thin reticles--older eyes need a little thicker
First company that does this say take the Athlon and fat up the crosshairs just a little --will sell a ton of them IMO

Some good points. I'm all for more scope for less money! Most of my shooting is up to 600m but hoping to do some 1000+ at some point.
